The CC178 is a large tube header for 1927 and up automobiles and trucks using small block Chevrolet engines. It fits aftermarket Mustang II, Vega, and rack-and-pinion front suspension kits, including Heidts, TCI, and Chassisworks chassis.<\/p>\n
The CC178 header features a large 1-7\/8″ primary tube diameter and a 3″ collector for extreme horsepower, high RPM, supercharged, and other high-performance engines that require a larger primary tube to exit the exhaust gases.<\/p>\n
The header clears most motor mount styles, tie rods, and steering rods. It is the most compact 1-7\/8″ header offered today. The header comes with all necessary hardware for installation.<\/p>\n
NOTE: The CC178 uses a rectangular-shaped port to fit most performance cylinder heads without adapter plates, with dimensions of roughly 1-3\/8″ width by 1-3\/4″ height (see images).
